With its open-air feel, people of all ages enjoy a ride on the Newquay road train, also known as the surf rider train. It is great fun and provides an alternative bus service around Newquay from Easter to the end of October between 10am and 5pm (last train departs Bank Street at 4.00pm).

New Engine for the Newquay Road Train

The Newquay road train is tackling hills in the town with added power thanks to a brand new £71,000 engine. This investment should keep the train on the road for another 10 years helping old and young explore Newquay and locals to get their shopping home. You can hop on and off at any stop with Newquay road train, which is also equipped with a wheelchair lift.

The Newquay road train leaves Bank Street on the hour from 10am. It travels along East Street, Cliff Road and the Narrowcliff, then down Hilgrove Road to arive at Newquay Zoo at quarter past the hour.

It continues to stop near the boating lake at Trenance. You may hop off at any stop and then rejoin a later train at no additional charge.
